You're watching live video of the construction of the new Donald E. Nielsen Community Center,
under construction just East of Neligh Park in West Point, Nebraska. The $4 million dollar project
is being built with
private donations, and will replace the city's 95-year-old City Auditorium.
The nearly 40,700-square-foot facility will feature a spacious hall for banquets, receptions, and meetings.
An educational wing will provide distance learning opportunities and classes for Northeast Community College.
Expected completion date is the summer of 2008.
